Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and RemAInder, the operator of RemAInder. By creating an account, completing onboarding, or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
RemAInder helps you capture, organize, share, and export reminders using text, voice, images, documents, notifications, and calendar integrations. Features may change as the service evolves.
2. AI, reminders, and safety
AI-generated transcripts, dates, recurrence rules, summaries, and reminders can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing important details. Notification and calendar delivery can be affected by device settings, permissions, connectivity, third-party services, and operating-system behavior.
Do not rely on RemAInder for emergencies, medical alarms, safety-critical duties, legal deadlines, financial deadlines, or any situation where a missed or inaccurate reminder could cause serious harm. Use an appropriate primary system and independent backup.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your account and devices, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by law.
4. Your content and shared calendars
You retain ownership of reminders, notes, attachments, voice-derived text, and other content you submit. You grant RemAInder a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
Content placed in a shared calendar is visible to its members. Calendar owners and members should share only content they are authorized to disclose. Removing a member or deleting a calendar can affect access and may delete associated calendar content as described in the app.
5. Integrations and third parties
Optional services such as Google Calendar, Apple services, OpenAI processing, RevenueCat, and device notifications are governed by their own terms and availability. RemAInder currently exports selected reminder information one way to Google Calendar; it does not represent a complete two-way backup. You authorize the actions you initiate through an integration and can disconnect supported integrations in Settings.
6. Subscriptions, Apple billing, and refunds
Paid features may be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions. Price, billing period, trial, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple are charged to your Apple ID and managed through your App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect according to the store terms and does not ordinarily refund an elapsed billing period. Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled by Apple subject to applicable law and Apple policies.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, break the law, infringe rights, access another person’s account without permission, distribute malware, probe or disrupt security, scrape or overload the service, bypass usage or payment controls, or use RemAInder to harass, deceive, or facilitate harm.
8. Our intellectual property
RemAInder, its software, design, branding, and service content—excluding your content—belong to RemAInder or its licensors. These Terms grant only a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended.
9. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using RemAInder and request account deletion through Settings. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material violation. Deletion and retention are described in the Privacy Policy; content already exported to third-party services may need to be managed there.
10. Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemAInder and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or losses caused by missed or inaccurate reminders. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Apple-required acknowledgements
If you use the iOS app, these Terms are between you and RemAInder, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. RemAInder, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims concerning the app, including product-liability, legal-compliance, and intellectual-property claims, subject to these Terms and applicable law. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on a prohibited or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Apple-specific provisions.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new version or effective date and, when appropriate, presented for renewed acceptance. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
